In Twitter We Trust

Like the popular AT&T commercial illustrates, information, news and mostly anything else, can be downloaded to your phone or tablet within seconds. If you're not connected digitally you'll end up falling behind. With the help of mobile sites, online applications and RSS feeds, like Pulse Radio, Twitter and Facebook, anyone with a smartphone can instantly download the latest information. The issue in question however is whether or not these tweets or posts are credible. Just because something is posted on Facebook or tweeted on Twitter does not make it true. Especially now with the race to break news first, the biggest concern of many stations and newspapers is to drive traffic to their sites. The problem with this however, is just because it is first does not make it true. This article will discuss the ways in which people get their news and why questioning the media is essential.
