Video games are becoming so complex and detailed that it isn’t a surprise that kids are neglecting their families, social obligations and even school.
My little brother may be a victim of video game addiction. Constantly I would find him in the basement, before he would even say hello to anyone, playing video games. It was almost his “cave”. He would go directly down there after school, come up for dinner, and then head right back down. It was to the point that my mom would actually begin to yell at him to go to bed he would play so much.
Having been a witness to this, I can kind of see the effects these new, complex games are starting to bring the younger generation. But to defend them, I have found myself sometimes become addicted to a video game from time to time. However, I am no way an addict.
